Battle of the Books

All year long, fifth and sixth grade students have been busy reading the ten Battle of the Books titles, writing practice questions and practicing.  Today, was the BIG DAY!  Competition time was at hand.  At lunch, six teams gathered to compete for bragging rights as the school champions.

The fifth grade team,"The Surfin' Smurfs" walked away with the title.  Congratulations.  They received a gift card to Barnes and Noble so they can continue reading.  All participants received an ice cream treat and a jeans pass, too.  What fun!
